Date: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 Bankers - still the best fish and chips in Brighton and Hove (closely followed by The Chip Basket and The Regency and that one in Baker Street). Crisp, perfect batter, proper fish shop chips, great quantity (almost too much but manageable) and you can have wine or beer with it. The service is well-honed to cater for large numbers and fast turnaround. I'm always happy when I leave and always amazed when I see plates going back with uneaten chips... |

Date: 2006-12-07 14:43:01 Bankers is where we always take visitors who come to Brighton expecting top-class fish & chips and they're never disappointed. I think the fish you get at Bardsley's is marginally better but the chips certainly aren't. The mushy peas are just how I like them and the prices are reasonable considering the quality. Not sure about the curious dripping roof decor but otherwise spot on. |
