Top marks for service, menu , price and quality of food, length of time waiting for table, friendly staff, ambience - everything was so well organised, even a disabled toilet on middle floor as well as usual one on top level. Went there for a weekend break and ended up eating there every night! First class |

Date: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 really nice cheap Italian food. Great set menu, salad bar and atmosphere. Usually easy to get table without booking but try and avoid sat night as it's usually filled with drunken hen nights and had to wait over an hour for table once even with pre booking! |

The staff ran around non stop, but were still always checking we had all we needed and that everything was OK. Salad bar, garlic bread, pizza and pasta was all great. Plenty of vegetarian options and the wine list was good. Definitely worth a trip. |

Date: 2007-01-04 23:18:54 Disappointing. I was in a group of 15 who were treated with complete indifference by almost everyone we dealt with. One of our many waiters was very pleasant but the other three or four were all surly and apparently resentful that we'd dared to disturb their lunchtime. The food was okay. My brother's halibut looked very nice and apparently tasted as good as it looked but my monkfish either wasn't monkfish at all or it had been cooked beyond all recognition. I'm genuinely not sure which. It was flaky and insipid. Other dishes looked alright but no one was exactly overwhelmed. The puddings were great though. Not a bad bet for the thick-skinned unadventurous type... |

Date: 2007-08-27 16:56:31 Food is nice enough and isn't overpriced, but the service has been awful a couple of times. We were kept waiting ages before anyone took a drinks order. Then the food arrived and we didn't even have cutlery. On one occasions, despite having booked well in advance as we had a large party, we were kept standing around for about 20 minutes, which wasn't acceptable for the 2 heavily pregnant women in our group. They just seem to think that having the biggest restaurant is best, and that they can get away with poor service. Well they can't! |

Date: 2007-09-09 23:51:35 I have dined there ever since it has opened and it used to be splendid before it got too big for it boots!! The food now, is average - nothing to write home about! The staff on the reception desk did not greet us with a smile or say anything and just gestured towards a table with an arrogant wave of her arm, and the other waiting staff are extremely RUDE TOO! Once I sent my pasta back because the sauce was like water! They made me wait until everyone on my table (8 of us) had finished and were on coffees before they returned with a replacement bowl of pasta and sauce, with no apology, just a scowl! Last year in October, we thought we would give it ONE last try on my twins 11th birthday, we had grandparents there aswell as aunties and uncles, WELL!, the staff are just down right rude and impertinent and we will never darken the doorway of this so called 'famous' restaurant in Brighton ever again. Send your dreadful staff off for lessons in customer service and manners!!! |

Date: 2008-03-08 18:09:27 Hit and miss been there a few times for lunch and busy but OK food - went one Saturday evening were kept waiting for 40 minutes, other groups of the same size, 3 people, were continuously seated before us - manager totally indifferent and when the above happened for the third time and we complained we were told "we do not need your custom" This was a restaurant we sent many Brighton visitors to, but alas, no longer |

The three course meal for £8.95 is an amazing price for the quality and quantity of food. EAT HERE!! IT'S AMAZING!!! |
