Date: 2007-07-17 15:02:17 A great pub serving great Ales and fantastic food. I chose the Cannon of Mutton (butchered in house) with apricot, sausage and lemon thyme stuffing, served with fondant potato, roasted squash, fresh peas and broad beans with a port jus. This dish was well balanced, full of flavour and simply delicious. My partner had Local Huss, beer battered, served with fat chips, tartare sauce & homemade minted mushy peas. The fish was beautifully cooked and the batter was tasty and crisp. The chips and mshy peas were great. This was as good as fish and chips gets. The Sussex Yeoman is a real gem! |
